Hume Fwy traffic diverted after serious collision near Wodonga
Interstate travellers are facing major disruptions and delays after a serious collision on a major freeway caused traffic chaos.

Police are investigating a serious collision on the Hume Freeway near Bandiana Link Rd in Wodonga.
It’s understood a silver Nissan Navara ute was driving at a slow speed on the freeway when a white Nissan Navara ute collided into its rear, forcing the silver Navara into a barrier about 5.45am on Wednesday.
The driver and the only occupant of the silver Navara, a 65-year-old Wodonga man, was taken to Albury Base Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
The driver of the white Navara, a 37-year-old Wodonga West man, was taken Albury Base Hospital for observation in a stable condition and with upper body injuries.
All northbound lanes were closed near the New South Wales border.

Interstate travellers between Victoria and NSW were urged to exit the Hume Freeway and use Lincoln Causeway.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the collision.
Traffic was expected to be diverted for several hours until authorities investigated.
Detectives are appealing for motorists who may have seen the vehicles involved or have dashcam footage to come forward.
