Driver charged over Barnawartha Christmas Day crash that killed toddler

A Barnawartha North driver has been charged over a fatal crash that killed a two-year-old on Christmas Day.

A man has been charged over a fatal crash that killed a toddler in Barnawartha North last year.

Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit charged 31-year-old Barnawartha North man with culpable driving.

It is alleged the man was the driver of an all-terrain vehicle when it rolled at a property on Moss Rd on Christmas Day.

A two-year-old boy who was a passenger in the vehicle died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

The man was released on bail and will appear at Wodonga Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
