UPDATED: A man in his 20s has been flown to Royal Melbourne Hospital with upper and lower body injuries after he was crushed by a two-tonne object at a Benalla concrete factory.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said he was in a serious condition.
Officers from WorkSafe Victoria are on the scene and will continue to make inquiries.
EARLIER: A man is in a serious condition after being trapped under a heavy object weighing between two and four tonnes at a Benalla concrete factory.
Emergency services were called to the Benalla Precast Factory just before 11am after reports a man had been trapped under a heavy object.
A Benalla SES spokeswoman said the man had been extricated from underneath the object.
Paramedics are treating the man at the scene for upper body injuries.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said the man was in a serious condition and would be flown to hospital.
