Two men have been charged after an alleged physical fight in the city’s main street.
Emergency services were called to Dean St about 3.10pm on Sunday following reports of an altercation between a 19-year-old and 30-year-old man at the busy street.
“On arrival, officers attached to Murray River Police District found a 30-year-old with superficial injuries to his face,” a police spokesman said.
“The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital in a stable condition for observation.”
Police later arrested the 19-year-old man and charged him with affray and behave in an offensive manner in a public place. He was also charged with one count of being a learner driver and driving without supervision.
“He had been granted conditional bail to re-appear at the same court later this month,” the police said.
After the 30-year-old man was released from hospital he was arrested and charged with stalking/intimidating intending fear (physical) and affray.
He was refused bail to appear in court at a later time.
