A 23-year-old man has been charged after a man was shot in the face in Albury.
Paramedics were called to a Holmwood Crescent property following reports a man had been shot about 4.45am on Sunday, May 2.
Murray River police district detectives are investigating after a 24-year-old man received gunshot wounds to the face.
The injured man was treated by paramedics and taken to Albury Base Hospital before later being transferred to a Melbourne Hospital for further treatment.
His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Police later arrested a 23-year-old man at a Thurgoona house about 2.45pm on Sunday.
The man was taken to Albury police station and charged with, shoot at with intent to murder, discharge firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, possess loaded firearm endanger life non-public place, possess unregistered firearm – prohibited firearm, and use unregistered firearm – prohibited firearm.
The man was refused bail to appear at Albury Local Court today.
