Albury-Wodonga will soon be able to enjoy Krispy Kremes and slurpees with the arrival of the region’s first 7-Eleven service station.
The first of four potential 7-Eleven stores on the border is set to open before Christmas at 4353 Anzac Parade, Wodonga.
The store will provide all the same luxuries as 7-Eleven’s metropolitan stores, including access to Krispy Kremes and Slurpees 24-hours of the day.
7-Eleven retail area lead south Nick Maddox said the company hoped to have two to three additional stores opened before the end of 2022.
“Recent significant investments in our supply chain enables us to expand into new areas at scale, which opens up new regional investment opportunities,” Mr Maddox said.
“The border is a region with strong growth potential and a great community, we’re really excited to invest in creating jobs in Albury Wodonga.
“(We) can’t wait to open our first store, hopefully before Christmas.”
He said the new servo would create 20 jobs in store and employ 150 people during construction phase.
