Lady Victoria Hervey shows off skin in revealing Golden Globes 2014 dress

WHAT was she thinking? Probably 'how can I show as much skin as possible without getting kicked out.'

THERE are sheer dresses and then there's this.

British socialite Lady Victoria Hervey was intent on making a name for herself at the Weinstein Company and Netflix's Golden Globes afterparty at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday by walking the red carpet in one of the most revealing dresses we have ever seen.

The gown was created by Indian fashion designer Gaurav Gupta, according to the Daily Star, and is anything but 'ladylike'.

"This is possibly the most ridiculous and poor excuse for a piece of clothing I have ever seen. And there have been many!" says news.com.au style commentator Melissa Hoyer.

"What is it with this current obsession to show off every nook and cranny of your body on the red carpet? It just reeks of total publicity desperation and if that's what this offender was after, she has certainly got it."

It's not the first time Hervey has shocked with her fashion choices. The 37-year-old wore a see-through gown exposing a G-string during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.

Hervey is currently single but has had relationships with several celebrities including Boyzone member Shane Lynch. She has also appeared in several reality programs in the UK.

As one commentator on Twitter rightly remarked: "I don't know what's more bizarre - Lady Victoria Hervey's dress or the fact that she gets invited to #GoldenGlobes."

News_Image_File: 'And from a more demure angle.'

News_Image_File: 'And lastly from the back. Thank you everyone, thank you.' News_Rich_Media: The pants under Dior worn by Emma Watson lead the best and worst of the Golden Globes red carpet looks.
