HOSTS GET THE LAUGHS:
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have been met with resounding laughter as they opened the 2014 Golden Globe Awards. Here are some of their best one-liners:
• Amy Poehler is here tonight (cue shot of Jennifer Lawrence). Doesn't she look amazing for a mum of two?
• George Clooney is nominated for Gravity which is about a guy who would rather float away into space and die than spend another second with a woman his age.
• Julia Dreyfus is nominated twice tonight. Once in the TV category and in the movie category. Interestingly she chose to sit with the movie people. Hi Julia, remember us? We know you from TV.
• Tom Hanks is wearing a prosthetic penis right now (like Jonah Hill did in Wolf of Wall Street) and he is really enjoying it.
• Matthew McConaughey lost 45 pounds for his role in Dallas Cowboy or what actresses would call being in a movie.
• Enjoy the moment Netflix because you are not going to be feeling so smug in a few years when Snapchat is up here accepting best drama.
• We're going to get this show done tonight in three hours or as Martin Scorsese calls it, Act 1.
• And now, like a supermodel's vagina let's all welcome Leonardo DiCaprio.
• Thank you everyone, this was the beautiful mess we hoped it would be ... and I got to make out with Bono.
