It has to be terminal. The Footy Show dropped to its worst-ever figure in Melbourne last night, a dismal 53,000 viewers.
Nine’s football program was crushed by The Front Bar — with guests Nicky Winmar and Patrick Dangerfield — which averaged 278,000.
The Footy Show’s figure was 40,000 less than last week, when the show had a once-off airing at 7.30pm, and 10,000 worse than a fortnight ago against The Front Bar.

WHY REBOOTED FOOTY SHOW, TODAY AREN’T RATING
Both shows aired at 8:30 so it was a genuine head-to-head, with five-times more viewers tuning into Channel 7.
Nine appears to be running out of options for its reboot with Anthony “Lehmo” Lehmann, Neroli Meadows, Dylan Alcott and Brendan Fevola.
The program is in free fall at 8.30pm against The Front Bar and the move to 7.30pm brought no joy.
Last week The Footy Show came fifth in its timeslot — even beaten by an SBS documentary on Jack the Ripper.
