Controversial Married At First Sight couple swap confirmed in loved-up new photos

A wife swap on MAFS appears to have been confirmed after two participants publicly stepped out as a couple for the first time.

Humiliating blow for MAFS wife in G-string

A wife swap on Married At First Sight appears to have been confirmed when controversial bride Jacqui Burfoot attended a very public event with intruder groom Clint Rice.

In photos obtained by Pulse Tasmania, the pair were spotted looking cosy together at the Launceston Cup on Wednesday in Clint’s home state of Tasmania, where it is understood NSW-based Jacqui has now relocated.

During the event, Jacqui and Clint were said to have arrived arm-in-arm, happily flaunting their relationship to other guests.

According to the masthead, the outing appears to be the duo’s first public appearance since both appearing on the reality TV show, where Jacqui is “married” to Ryan Donnelly and Clint is paired with Lauren Hall.

Needless to say, both partnerships crumbled as filming wrapped late last year and it has been reported that Clint slid into Jacqui’s DMs shortly after.

While the Launceston Cup may have been the couple’s first foray together in public, over on social media Jacqui had been sharing not-so-subtle posts about her new relationship with Clint.

Most recently, she shared a photo of herself sitting on a man’s lap as she teased a “tell-all” and podcast to come with “my man”.

A closer look at her Instagram also shows Jacqui making herself at home in the former pro-golfer and businessman’s sprawling mansion, which boasts a tennis court, indoor cinema, golf simulator, gymnasium and built-in home bar.

In one photo shared back in December on her new Instagram account, which wasn’t monitored by MAFS producers, Jacqui could be seen posing in front of the bar inside Clint’s house, which she cheekily captioned: “Hi, I’m Jacqui! ️Next chapters for the plot!”

She has continued to go rogue on social media as her bizarre portrayal on the show unfolds, appearing to break her contract with Nine by posting spoilers sure to anger producers.

Two weeks ago, Jacqui told followers she was in a new relationship with a mystery man in the real world, despite her still being paired with Ryan on the series.

“I am currently in a relationship with a person who was exactly what I asked for – someone kind, considerate, a great man, and intelligent,” she wrote alongside a smiling selfie.

“Sometimes miracles happen because today I am in fact happy and in a loving long term relationship!”

Elsewhere, Jacqui told critics to “blame the editors” for her oddball portrayal on the series, having raised eyebrows for her emotional behaviour. Viewers have watched in shock as she often breaks down in tears over seemingly minuscule things, talking about her high standards and her need to be told she’s the most beautiful girl in the world.

“I agree – my character makes no sense – that’s not my fault,” she wrote.

“More than happy to spill the tea so you can get to know the real me and my story!

“I signed up for an unfiltered, raw, real marriage experiment \ aka documentary. You’ve been fed a highly edited fictional storyline and I feel like you deserve to know the truth. I can’t sit back and support misleading and deceptive stories.”
