The daughter of Bob Saget has revealed his final text message to her, hours before his tragic death. It came as Hollywood stars paid tribute.

Hollywood has paid tributed to the late Bob Saget, who was found dead in a Florida hotel room, as the star’s daughter revealed the final text he sent her.

It came as authorities revealed new details about the Full House star’s unexpected death, aged 65.

“Deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget and pronounced deceased on scene,” the Orange County Sheriff’s office tweeted.

“Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case.”
The comedy star was perhaps best known – and loved – for his iconic role as Danny Tanner, the widowed father of three, in long-running sitcom, Full House, which aired in the late 80s and 90s.

John Stamos, Saget’s Full House co-star, said he was “broken” and “gutted” by his death.

“I am in complete and utter shock,” Stamos wrote on Twitter.

“I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby.”

Australian actor Russell Crowe also paid tribute for the actor dubbed “America’s dad”.

Crowe wrote: “Bob Saget. A good hang, a good chat. Kind, funny, generous. RIP.”

Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen, who shared the role of “Michelle” on Full House, said they were “deeply saddened” by Saget’s death.

“Bob was the most loving, compassionate and generous man,” the Olsen twins said in a joint statement.

“We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us but know that he will continue to be by our side to guide us as gracefully as he always has.

“We are thinking of his daughters, wife and family and are sending our condolences.”

Full House ran for eight seasons, from 1987 to 1995, on US network ABC and syndicated worldwide.

Saget, who hosted America’s Funniest Home Videos, had been touring the US with his stand-up comedy show.

Hours before his death, Saget had tweeted about playing a show in Jacksonville, saying he was “addicted” to performing.

“Loved tonight’s show @PV_ConcertHall in Jacksonville. Appreciative audience. Thanks again to @RealTimWilkins for opening. I had no idea I did a 2 hr set tonight. I’m happily addicted again to this shit. Check BobSaget.com for my dates in 2022,” the actor wrote.

“I’m back in comedy like I was when I was 26. I guess I’m finding my new voice and loving every moment of it,” Saget had said.

“A’ight, see you in two weeks Jan. 28 & 29. And check BobSaget.com for my dates in 2022. Goin’ everywhere until I get the special shot.

“And then probably keep going cause I’m addicted to this sh*t. Peace out,” he wrote.

The tour was scheduled to continue until May.

Meantime, Saget’s daughter Aubrey revealed his final text to her via her private Instagram account: “Thank u. Love u. Showtime!”

In a statement, Saget’s wife Kelly Rizzo along with his family said: “We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today”.

“He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter,” the statement said, per the New York Post.

“Though we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world.”

Rizzo, 42, a journalist who hosts online series Eat Travel Rock TV, wed Saget in 2018. He was previously married to screenwriter and lawyer Sharri Kramer, with whom he shared daughters Aubrey, 34, Lara, 32, and Jennifer, 29.

Throughout his decades-long career, Saget starred in Full House, its spin-off Fuller House, as well as Entourage and Law & Order, and was the narrator for How I Met Your Mother.

But Saget’s stand-up comedy style was very different to his wholesome acting role, delivering raunchier adult material.

Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson paid heartfelt tribute describing Saget as “one of the nicest men on the planet” who always looked out for him and his mental health.

“When I was younger and several times throughout our friendship he helped me get through some rough mental health stuff,” Davidson, 28, wrote in a statement shared on SNL writer Dave Sirus’ Instagram.

Former The Daily Show host Jon Stewart called Saget “just the funniest and nicest”, while

Steve Martin said his passing was a “sad day for (the) comedy world.”

Whoopi Goldberg praised Saget’s “huge heart and abject lunacy”, while Billy Crystal said he was a “great friend and one of the funniest and sweetest people I have ever known”.

Seinfeld star Jason Alexander said Saget “was kind and dear and cared about people deeply. He was the definition of ‘a good egg.’”

Mindy Kaling tweeted: “Bob Saget was funny and kind, but also, let’s not forgot, for people my age, he was the original Hot Dad. It’s not important but it’s true”.

TV host Andy Cohen tweeted: “He had the biggest heart and wore it on his sleeve. He was so generous with his feelings. A mensch.”

Fellow comic Patton Oswalt tweeted: “Bob was at my house in October interviewing me for a documentary. He was sharp and dark and funny as always and we were gonna catch up over coffee when he was done editing, and now I’m crying.”
