Get ready I’m A Celebrity … Get me Out of Here fans.

Comedians Dilruk Jayasinha, Nikki Osborne, Tanya Hennessy, Love Island’s Erin Barnett and Aussie entertainer Rhonda Burchmore are officially joining the cast in the South African jungle.

Their appearances on season 10 of I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here, which premiered tonight on Channel 10, was announced on the I’m A Celebrity Australia Instagram page about 8.30pm AEDT today.

It followed an earlier reveal of former MAFS star Ryan Gallagher also joining the cast.

The group of six will join broadcaster, television presenter and journalist Myf Warhurst, who shot to fame as a regular panellist on the hit ABC music quiz show Spicks and Specks as well as hosting the Eurovision Song Contest.

On behalf of ‘Team Ryan’, his management team posted his appearance on his Instagram page, saying the Aussie bloke’s experience is official.

“Our boy @ryangallaghergram is in the @imacelebrityau jungle!! We know he’d be beyond grateful for the support he’s already received and we can’t wait to see what he gets up to!,” it read.

“From now until he’s back, socials will be penned by his management team and will be signed off ‘Team Ryan’ ... don’t forget to hashtag your comments #CelebRyan and #imacelebrityau”.

On behalf of Jayasinha, his “handsome older brother” Dilshan Jayasinha updated his 12.2k followers about his new TV adventure.

“He’s asked me to take over his socials to keep you updated while he’s off in some jungle,” he said.

“It’s cute that he thinks I care. I may or may not give you Dilruk-updates, but I’ll definitely post all my nonsense here which would hopefully reduce his followers by half.

“That’d be a delightful surprise for when he returns. Stay tuned. #ImACelebrityAU #CelebDilruk”.

Warhurst was announced to appear alongside TV personality Tom Williams by Channel 10 earlier today.

Williams shot to fame after hosting Seven’s Daily Edition and The Great Outdoors.

The duo were the third and fourth contestants announced for this year’s show, following celebrity chef Miguel Maestre and international reality star Charlotte Crosby.

In an interview with News Corp earlier,Williams said he jumped at the opportunity to appear on I’m A Celebrity … Get me Out of Here after Steve Irwin told him the jungle life was not for him.

“Back in 2002, I was doing a story with Steve and after four hours of working with him, he goes ‘mate, you’re incurable … you and the snake are never going to be friends,” Williams recalls, with a laugh.

“I’m fine with spiders but the snakes, not so much.”

That will be music to the ears of the reality show’s producers, who like their celebrity contestants to face their fears in the bushlands of South Africa.

Admitting he has a “weak stomach” will also be something the challenge masters can exploit, with Williams warning viewers “you’ll see me gagging, no doubt.”

Given the way 10 has marketed his appearance on the show, Williams is also slightly afraid of the expectations he’ll be showing off the same buff bod he did when he won the 2012 season of Dancing With The Stars.

Back then the former carpenter and sometime model was happy to strip off his shirt during a sexually-charged cha cha with dance partner and then girlfriend, Kym Johnson, won Williams plenty of votes.

But the 49-year-old married father of two is now not so sure.

“The expectations are high, aren’t they? Thanks for that,” he laughs, “but I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing … like ‘here’s the dad bod and he’s letting it all out.”

While getting his gear off is not a certainty, Williams promises there will be dancing in the camp.

“I’m not much of a snorer, but as far as annoying habits,” he reveals, “I’ll probably just be the one when I’m hungry that will get hyperactive. I’ll be that person who’s like ‘come, let’s dance!”

His return to the small screen comes after what he pursuing confesses was a career misstep last year — quitting his Channel 7 role to pursue a real estate sales role, for LJ Hooker Mosman, near his home in one of Sydney’s leafy northern suburbs.

“It was never going to be easy, that’s for sure,” he says of the work experiment which ended after six months.

“It was a huge change, a huge adjustment, not only for me but for the family as well. There’s been lots of bumps in the road, but I feel as if it’s made me a lot more mature and a lot more mindful of business. From the market point of view, it was the worst year in the world to get into the real estate business … I picked a tough one.”

So, when 10 executive producer, Stephen Tate came casting for I’m A Celebrity, Williams thought, ‘why not?’

Tate had approached his great mate and radio host, Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald to be on the show, but when he passed Fitzgerald put his long-time friend forward.

“He said, ‘why don’t you ring Tom?’ … so yeah, I have Fitz to thank for tipping me in.”

Like most contestants who come back from the bush experience more philosophical than they were before parachuting into the challenge, Williams wants to use the time away from family to get focused on their future.

“They don’t really get what I do, or what I’ve done. But I worked with Disney this year and to them, that was a huge deal … thinking I was friends with Mickey Mouse.”

“They know what their mum does more than they know what I do,” Williams says of his fashion designer wife, Rachel Gilbert.

“But I think this is a great opportunity. I’m knocking on the door of 50, so it’s great to re-evaluate everything, particularly now that the girls are four and five. We’ve really come out of that, pardon the pun, jungle of infants and toddlers and now they’re vibrant little girls. I’ll probably spend some time reflecting on ‘OK, what are we going to do next?’”

Preparing for his stint in South Africa, where contestants are rationed food and offered no luxuries, Williams had already started weaning himself off coffee and cutting down his meal portions in readiness for lockdown today.

“I’m competitive in the fact that I always want to do my best,” he says. “That’s my level of competitiveness. If I come out and go ‘that was half-arsed’, I’ll be really upset.”

Taking his chances where they come, he says: “When people in TV give you ops, you’ve got to go for it.”

I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here airs 7.30pm, Sunday-Wednesday on 10.
