The next housemate for Big Brother Australia has been revealed — and she’s unlike any of the show’s previous contestants.
Make-up artist Marissa Rancan, 61, is the competition’s oldest housemate and is no stranger to the spotlight.
She and her twin sisters were a hit with Aussie viewers in the 1980s at the height of the aerobics craze.
Known as the Rancan Sisters, they brought step aerobics to Australia and appeared on Good Morning Australia every morning with their high-energy routines.
Marissa says she is ready to “play hard to win” and will take her husband John on a holiday if she pockets the prize money.
The other contestants announced so far include former AFL player Daniel Gorringe and down-to-earth country bloke Mat.
There will be 20 housemates in the new series, which hosted by Sonia Kruger.
The series is filmed in a custom-built house at North Head, Manly.
The place is fitted with cameras and microphones recording every inch of the house and their every move, 24 hours a day.
