In an explosive new trailer for The Masked Singer, one contestant loses their prop head mid performance.

Channel 10 has exclusively given news.com.au an extended first look at the upcoming season of The Masked Singer, and it looks epic.

In the promo, viewers are finally given a longer look at the new characters, which include a giant baby, a kebab, a fish with a mullet, a pavlova and some other absolutely terrifying beings.

One star belts out Fly Away by Tones and I, confirming that there is a contestant with a particularly good voice among their ranks.

Judge Jackie ‘O’ Henderson explains that the giant baby makes her “feel so clucky”.

“But I wouldn’t want to be giving birth to you,” she adds, earning a huge laugh from host Osher Günsberg.

Jackie also hilariously tells the kebab that she “was a vegetarian for 10 years before eating you”.

Most interestingly, the promo focusing itself around the fact that one voice is “so big”, that they lose their head … literally!

After the fish with a mullet finishes their performance, they fall down and their prop head completely falls off, risking the judges being able to see the celebrity underneath.

Osher quickly runs over to assist while the judges absolutely lose their minds, and it causes a huge scene.

Somehow, the celebrity manages to hide their head back into their costume before they are given away.

“I did not see a head at all you turned into a tortoise real quick,” said judge David ‘Hughesy’ Hughes.

With Osher Günsberg returning as host, Urzila Carlson, Jackie O, Dave Hughes and Dannii Minogue all make the judging panel.

No official start date has been released, however reports claim the contest will return to screens when the current season of Survivor: Brains V Brawn wraps up.
