SUPERMODEL and fashionista Megan Gale has vowed not to over-style her baby in designer clothes.
Gale told Confidential: “Early on, I don’t think the child even understands where its nose is, so I’m not going to do too much. I won’t be over-styling the baby.
“Then, they get to an age where the child will want to choose their own clothes.
“I’ll be very supportive in that area and let them create their own style as well.”
Gale, a David Jones ambassador and seven months pregnant, sat front row at the retail giant’s parade for the Melbourne Fashion Festival at Docklands on Monday.
Gale said pregnancy had changed her world view.
“There is definitely a shift that’s happened,” she said.
“Things that you may be worried and stressed about suddenly become insignificant because this life you have growing inside is far and away the No. 1 priority.
“I do have a sense of calm and clarity with things.
“Maybe that’s part of preparing to be a mother, and having those maternal instincts kick in.”
Gale’s ambassador peers Jessica Gomes and Montana Cox starred on the runway for David Jones.
“Melbourne is a cosmopolitan city and the fashion reflects that,” Gomes told Confidential.
“Melbourne is very high fashion and European. It’s very different compared to Sydney, Los Angeles, and New York. Melbourne has its own twist.”
