Raygun reveals hilarious encounter with trick-or-treater after becoming most popular Halloween costume

The Olympic breakdancer says she’s still ‘processing’ her notoriety after becoming a viral sensation this year, as some of her famous admirers recreate the iconic moment for Halloween.

The nation’s most famous breakdancer, Raygun, is embracing the funny side of her new-found notoriety after becoming one of the most popular costume choices for Halloween.

Speaking with Melbourne radio show Fifi, Fev & Nick, the Olympian shared a hilarious random encounter with a trick-or-treater who donned her famous green and gold get-up.

“I was coming home from the shops yesterday and I saw someone dressed as me out trick-and-treating, I wound down the window and I was like, ‘I love your costume’, and they were stunned,” she laughed.

“I didn’t go trick or treating, I was just the weirdo shouting from the car.”

British comedian Jack Whitehall was among the many admirers who transformed into Raygun to celebrate the Spooky Season, taking to Instagram to share his own breakdance attempt.

Meanwhile, Kris Jenner gave her seal of approval to her bestie, none other than Mrs Tommy Hilfiger, who dressed up as the Olympian turned viral meme.

The US fashion designer’s wife Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger was decked out in the daggy outfit and even got down doing her skippy kangaroo and the sprinkler moves to which the reality kween matriarch replied “you deserve a gold medal.”

Hilfiger wasn’t the only US celeb to get her touch of Aussie on. Destiny’s Child singer and Beyonce’s bestie Kelly Rowland, fresh from endorsing US presidential candidate Kamala Harris, dressed up as Chilli from series Bluey, with her son Noah dressing up as the animated Blue Heeler.

The 37-year-old athlete, whose ‘Kangaroo’ moves catapulted her to global stardom during her widely-panned Paris Olympics campaign, said she was “still processing” her celeb status.

“If I wear a baseball cap, I definitely get recognised,” Raygun, who has since returned to lecture at Macquarie University, explained on Friday.

“It’s something I’ve had to get used to that people are looking at me funny and coming up to me and saying, ‘Are you who I think you are?

“…It’s surreal to me, to be welcomed onto this Melbourne Breakfast show and all this attention and excitement around me has been totally wild. I’m still going to grips with (it) to be honest.”

It comes as fellow celebrity couple G-Flip and wife, Neighbours actress, Chrishell Stause, took the opportunity to celebrate the Spooky Season with a homage to Elvis and Priscilla.

In what’s seemingly become a Halloween tradition, Melbourne-born singer G-Flip – who typically sports baggy pants, singlets and sneakers – embraced their feminine side.

In place of the non-binary star’s many tattoos was Priscilla’s trademark heavy eye make-up and a black beehive wig paired with a polka dot dress and heels.

Stause, who only just returned to LA from Australia after filming upcoming dating show Love Triangle, paid tribute to the King of Rock and Roll with a short black wig, aviator sunnies and the iconic white rhinestone jumpsuit.

The Selling Sunset starred also shared a behind-the-scenes look at her transformation, with dedicated make-up artists helping her squeeze into a fake rubber ‘chest’.

The happy couple posed up a storm with a vintage cadillac at their home in the Hollywood Hills as celeb pals took to the comment section to praise heap on their creativity.
