New pics cast doubt on where Geoff Bainbridge video was filmed

A series of new pictures may reveal where the drug-taking video of Grill’d boss Geoff Bainbridge was filmed.

Geoff Bainbridge is a great entrepreneur, but he probably should learn how to blur the background in his videos.

The business mogul was caught with his pants down, smoking what appeared to be an ice pipe.

Bainbridge claimed he was the victim of extortion, and that the video was filmed during a wild night out in Asia. But our spies say it was more likely a Middle Park bedroom than a bad night in a Bangkok hotel.

There was a distinctive light fitting in the background of his home movie, where he had one hand on the glass pipe and the other on, er, a different sort of pipe.

And this mirror.
And this mirror.

In what is either an extremely strange coincidence, or perhaps Bainbridge’s memory is foggy, the same light fittings are in the real estate ads for a house in Middle Park.

That home was sold for almost $3.5m in July 2020. Page 13 did some research, and the house with those light fittings, not to mention some similar window shutters and split system airconditioner, was owned Geoffrey Leonard Bainbridge.

Surprisingly, the home had a mortgage with NAB registered in August that year. Given Bainbridge’s worth, could he not just pay cash?

A Geoff Leonard Bainbridge was listed as a director of Lark Distilling Co at another Middle Park address.

That’s the company the burger king stepped down from this week after The Australian’s Sharri Markson sent him questions about the meth video.

Lawyers acting for Bainbridge told The Australian he “is the subject of a continuing, sophisticated and recently intensified extortion attempt by persons overseas using manipulated unverified images”.

Markson still managed to get her exclusive, even though Bainbridge’s lawyers asked for more time, only for an attempted spoiler story to appear in the other paper after he quit his corporate roles.

In an unusually uncritical report, Bainbridge claimed the video was up to five years old.

If only he’d blurred out those light fittings.
