Who doesn’t love an alleged “baggie” photo snafu?
Plenty of our stars from AFL types — Bailey Smith anyone — to WAGs and reality stars of yesteryear have been caught nose deep on social media hoovering what we in the media like to euphemistically report as “a bag containing white powder”.
There are plenty of other media euphemisms to get around the lawyers. “Highly spirited” is another phrase for rotten drunk; “tired and emotional” a case of a big night out on the drugs and “colourful” usually means a shady criminal past. But we digress.
This week eagle-eyed pundits have been all about a MAFS Melbourne star, and one of the more straight-laced ones at that.
The rumour swirling was that Melbourne’s 34-year-old account manager Rhi Disljenkovic had a “baggie” stuffed inside her dress — a bag of rack in her rack? — during Sunday’s commitment ceremony.
But in the case of our MAFS star it appears the incriminating picture was anything but and that nothing had gone tits up.
“It’s a microphone and tape. As if it was a bag! It’s definitely a mic taped inside,” Rhi reportedly exclaimed at all the consternation.
“It would be a silly place to put it if it was,” she said, noting that the audio team are constantly fiddling with the neckline of clothes to make sure mics are fitted properly.
While we normally refrain from any MAFS related garbage — c’mon even Page 13 has limits — we couldn’t help sharing this chuckle.
Because all women know a bra is as good a place as any to discreetly keep contraband and store items. One Melbourne starlet socialite was well known for her “lucky dip” trick at the end of a nightclub bender. Back at the house party she would remove her bra with a piñata-style confetti drop of baggies, grass and pills with little Mitsubishis stamped on them collected from dealers and dirty rottens she had been talking to throughout the night, spilling out from her boulder holders ensuring the party would keep going.
