A Real Housewives of Melbourne star exposed for living a double life in the suburbs— and not her luxe city apartment shown on the reality series— says she’s the real victim.

Real Housewife of Melbourne Anjali Rao has been called out for living a double life on and off the hit TV show— and for hiding her relationship with Tim Hennessy.

From MAFS to Housewives, it’s hard keeping up.

Runaway Real Housewife of Melbourne Anjali Rao says she is a victim of class shaming after she was papped outside her suburban Melbourne home and called out for living a double, not-so-blinged-up, life.

The former CNN newsreader told Page 13 she leased out a six-star, swanky South Yarra pad at Capitol Grand to film the reality series earlier this year.

But in reality she lives in a modest four-bedroom home in the outer ’burbs.

“That was evil,” Rao said of being called out for not really living at the pad she referred to as

“her queendom” on the series she abruptly left.

While calling the fly on the wall reality series anything but reality, Rao, like many Housewives of past present and future, seems blissfully unaware of her own contradictions.

At the European Hotel in St Kilda launch, arm-in-arm with her boyfriend of two years, coffee machine machinist, Tim Hennessey, Rao said she saw no reason to mention the relationship on the series.

She did reveal herself as bisexual on the show, saying it came out after her messy split with her former husband, which resulted in her moving back to her Melbourne base “with nothing”.

As another reality insider cattily whispered into our ear that she was just saying that to garner the gay vote, it does seem somewhat incongruous not to reveal you are in a relationship on a show called Real Housewives of Melbourne.

As Housewife Jackie Gillies says, “You have to keep it real.”

Another Housewife said, “She is no Lisa Vanderpump. She can’t think she can behave that way and stick around. You can’t tell lies.”

Sigh!

ELLIOTT’S JAW-DROPPING LOOK

What better way to celebrate the finale of the Real Housewives of Melbourne on Foxtel on Sunday than at a polo arena on a horse wearing couture. Go figure.

New RHOM Simone Elliott will do anything to get the shot, just as long as she is looking put together and chic.

Oozing elegance in an off-the-shoulder floor skimming red showstopper made by luxury Melbourne wedding brand Nektaria, Elliott had some styling advice for the Herald Sun shoot via a Housewife from another franchise, Real Housewives of Beverley Hills regular and couture queen Dorit Kemsley.

A designer herself, Kemsley created the gown with label Nektaria on the world stage after recently collabing with the brand and homegrown bridal maker Natalie Georgys.

“Dorit was delighted for me wear her beautiful gown which she designed. Her latest bridal and couture collection is now available in Australia and I love every piece,” Elliott said.

Elliott went back to Inge Burke’s Red Gum Run Arena in Freshwater Creek where she had polo lessons, with the RHOM wraps up filming on Sunday’s episode to create the look.
