Pop star Katy Perry flies into Melbourne for private Pratt show

Pop superstar Katy Perry has secretly flown into Melbourne for a private show for one of Australia’s richest men and a $2.5m payday.

Superstar Katy Perry is the latest A-lister to jet into Melbourne.

But unlike pop star’s Pink and Taylor Swift, the Fireworks singer is not here for a slew of sell out stadium gigs.

Perry secretly flew into town for a hush hush gig via one of the Pratt family’s private Global Express jets, where she is expected to pick up a multimillion pay cheque of about $2.5 million.

The I Kissed A Girl singer will perform at billionaire Anthony Pratt’s Raheen family estate in Kew on Saturday night.

The private Visy function in connection with the global food industry, is hosted by the cardboard king, with PM Anthony Albanese among the VIP guest list.

The Pratt dynasty is well known for extravagant parties from as far back as when patriarch Richard Pratt was at the helm, and known to break out in song.

Son Anthony has carried on the tradition with no expense spared for extravagant bat mitzvahs, engagements and dinner parties.

The Melbourne tycoon has a soft spot for Perry, enlisting the global superstar — who was special guest performer for the King’s Coronation — to perform to his Visy connections in 2022 at Pratt’s New York City skyscraper penthouse apartment atop the Sherry-Netherland Hotel.

Perry performed six songs, ­including Unconditionally and California Gurls, before finishing with all-time favourite Firework to send the crowd into raptures.

Between Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, Pink, Blink 182, Kourtney Kardashian and NBA star Scottie Pippen, Australia is flush with American celebrities right now.
