The Brighton set have got a date for their diaries post lockdown, with their leading lady Patricia Ilhan set to walk down the aisle again.
The 55-year-old philanthropist and business woman is set to tie the knot with partner of four years Chris Blackman.
Plans for a Portsea, dahling, proposal kept getting thwarted because of Covid.
But Ilhan’s mansion on Brighton’s million-dollar row made for the perfect location.
“It was a couple of weeks ago, it was a really warm night and we were just sitting outside chatting,” Ilhan told Page 13.
“I was just talking rubbish, going on and on, like I do and then he just said, do you ever think there is a day you might want to marry me?
I did the whole, oh dahling, of course then he said do you think today is the day?
“He pulled out the most stunning diamond ring and it fit perfectly. It’s been on my finger ever since.”
Ilhan, the widow of much loved multi-millionaire mobile phone entrepreneur Crazy John Ilhan, has already booked the nuptials, with fingers and toes crossed Victoria will open up next year.
Ilhan has her heart set on an intimate sit-down lunch with 100 of her nearest and dearest at the plush Port Phillip Estate in March.
She and Blackman have been together for four “and a half” years, she adds.
They met when their daughters Jayda Ilhan, 20, and Macenzi Blackman, 20, were in kindergarten at Firbank and became besties.
“He was just one of the dads,” Ilhan laughs.
“Our daughters are still best friends, they live together now. I set them up in a beautiful little place in Hampton.”
She said the girls and children would be part of the wedding party and were excitedly letting friends in on their news.
“In such weird times everyone sees it as such beautiful news.”
John Ilhan died suddenly in 2007, leaving her to raise four children under 10 at their Brighton home.
She said her late husband would most definitely approve of the wedding.
“Chris is a very decent man. I think John would be very pleased.”
