THERE should be a market on what will become of The Footy Show with the rumours running faster than our mighty Winx.

The latest is Eddie McGuire’s JAM TV is looking to rename the Thursday night footytainment show More Than A Game taking some license from it’s theme song of 25-odd years with Eddie’s wannabe doppelganger Seb Costello to take the helm.

The Footy Show’s future has been up in the air for most of the year due to poor ratings.

Last month Sam Newman bid an emotional farewell on the show and told the Herald Sun this week he had fielded inquiries from other outlets.

Newman’s great mate Shane Warne said the pair have plotted the idea of a nightly TV show together.

The controversial footballing figure — out of contract at the end of this month — met with Nine CEO Hugh Marks and Nine Melbourne managing director Matt Scriven on Thursday.

He told the Herald Sun they explored the possibility of him working on a new show but his future with The Footy Show — or whatever it will be called — remains uncertain.
