Speaking of endless — if not pointless — internal conflicts, if you’re having a hard time keeping up with the Melbourne Racing Club, you’re not alone.
A factional revolt led by reformed Sandown salesman John Kanga has generated enough animosity to cause, as it so often does, gun media lawyer Justin Quill to fire off defamation concerns notices between committee members, as we exclusively told you only (a very long) fortnight ago.
Now despite what we hear is a flurry of grovelling semi apologies between various parties, this is another forever war that – we’re told – has no danger at all of simmering out.
Rather the contrary.
Page 13 understands a new front is in the process of opening up with documents being served left, right and centre such that the Committee Room at Caulfield today is practically a fire hazard.
