It’s considered a crime in the AFL and racing world to hold a wedding on the first week of the season, or on Derby Day.
But Ruby Brownless and her beau, Josh Wallis, have defied just that, with their lavish Noosa nuptials to be on Saturday, also Round 1 of the season.
Fox Footy star Garry Lyon, the soon-to-be-groom of Ruby’s mum Nicky is up on the Sunshine Coast and missing the first bounce. So will former best mate and father Billy Brownless who will walk Ruby down the aisle for the wedding celebrations.
Wallis is the brother of former Western Bulldogs star Mitch Wallis and their dad is former Bulldogs star Stephen Wallis. He proposed to Brownless in December 2022 on Hayman Island. Nothing like keeping it in the footy world!
But there is another wedding guest causing quite the stir, none other than US country crooner Zach Bryan.
The superstar country singer has recently started seeing one of Ruby’s BFFs, influencer and marketing grad Hannah Duncan.
The couple have already been making headlines Bryan’s US hometown given his salacious recent break up with podcaster Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia. Late last year er, Chickenfry accused the muso of emotional abuse saying he offered her $12m and a house not to talk about their relationship. She refused to sign the NDA and is now singing herself.
“You made the women before me believe that they had no other choice than to take money from you, sign their experiences away, sign what they went through away,” LaPaglia claimed on her BFFs Podcast.
“You get to go skip off and sing your little f------ songs on stage like you’re a good dude … Sorry, I’m not them.”
Bryan clapped back at critics via a series of Instagram Stories for allegedly harassing his friends.
“Also all you f------ couch warriors attacking and belittling my friends on the internet because you’re assuming I have a girlfriend are weird as hell and should be studied for science,” the singer wrote. Bryan added that he wasn’t “asking for sympathy” and said that at the time, he was single.
But all that has changed with Duncan now on the scene and a white wedding to attend.
