Cherry Bar owner James Young has emerged from his cone of silence to go on record about moving on from the AC/DC Lane venue.

“Scurrilous rumours,” Young cried on his mate Eddie McGuire’s Triple M radio’s Hot Breakfast on Friday, only to then confirm what Page 13 wrote last week. Young took issue with not being quoted — he should have answered repeated calls and texts.

Young told McGuire he would never, ever sell, only to then begrudgingly confirm, he was in talks to move the venue. Huh?

The sale would happen round mid next-year, he revealed, which Page 13 also reported.
