Page 13: Channel 10 stars told to pay up or move on

Cost cutting has begun over at Channel 10, with some of its biggest names told they’re about to lose one of their perks worth thousands of dollars a year.

Top talent and senior staff at Channel 10 are being hit with carpark fees as the network tightens the purse strings after its latest merger.

News anchors Jennifer Keyteand Stephen Quartermain as well as The Project hosts Carrie Bickmore , Waleed Aly and Pete Helliar will have to salary sacrifice $3300 a year for the privilege of parking at Ten’s Como headquarters in South Yarra.

And spare a thought, or some change, for the poor sods on far less lucrative salaries who are also being told to fork out.

The parking charges are expected to be enforced from April 1.

The penny pinching is across all states, except Brisbane where Ten owns the carpark.

To say a few noses are out of joint about having their pockets picked is putting it mildly. But no one is playing favourites and everyone from chief executive Paul Anderson down to the administration staff are having to cough up. Cha-ching!
