Congratulations to National Gallery of Victoria director Tony Ellwood and his long-time partner Tom Mosby, a lawyer originally from the Torres Strait and best known for his stint on MasterChef, who married on Saturday.
The nuptials were put on hold several times during the pandemic before an intimate gathering held at philanthropist Krystyna Campbell-Pretty’s inner-city Melbourne heritage-listed residence.
Page 13 hears the wedding was meant to take place outside, but the bellowing wind meant the ceremony was moved inside to the upstairs boardroom.
Campbell-Pretty is a long time friend of Ellwood, contributing to the NGV’s Fashion and Textiles collection with more than 250 garments and 3000 pieces.
She was a guest at intimate gathering on Thursday night at swanky CBD eatery Grill Americano to welcome Alfonso Dolce, CEO of luxury fashion house Dolce&Gabbana.
Recently returned David Jones ambassador Megan Gale looked stunning in figure-hugging leopard D&G.
Also there were J’Aton designers Jacob Luppino and Anthony Pittorino, with the department store’s chief executive officer Scott Fyfe welcoming the Italian executive and celebrating the decades long partnership between the two brands.
Dolce told the glamorous crowd of loyal customers he felt “Italianality”, the beating heart of the luxury brand, was also the pulse of Melbourne, which was met to much applause.
“This country is perfect for the DNA of the brand,” Dolce said.
