Maybe Natalie Imbruglia knew something Prince Charles didn’t.
The new mum ghosted a fundraiser for the Australian Red Cross at Mansion House in London where HRH picked up the “Miley Cyrus”.
Imbruglia’s name was on the guest list at the glitzy event in the Egyptian Hall, where the good and the great rubbed shoulders with royalty. The rubbing might have been the problem. Prince Charles’ doctors say he became infectious on March 13, the morning after the night before. It happens.
Aussie expat Imbruglia, who is 45, gave birth to son, Max, through IVF last year and was to be one of the evening’s more entertaining guests. But, when everyone sat down to listen to Prince Charles, there was an empty chair at the table where the singer was supposed to be sitting.
Imbruglia made the right call. Prince Charles was mobbed by people wanting to press the flesh.
Julian Assange’s lawyer, Jennifer Robinson, was at the fundraiser and was being asked about her star client.
Assange was denied bail this week when a judge decided he was not at a high risk of catching the coronavirus in Her Majesty’s Prison Belmarsh.
Like Assange, Robinson might also find herself in isolation for a couple of weeks.
