Grand final border breacher’s luxury life revealed in European holiday snaps

AFL grand final border breacher Hayden Burbank has bounced back from his jail stint, sharing posts from a luxury European jaunt and even mocking his own arrest.

Burbank and Babbage celebrate Melbourne's grand final win

Hayden Burbank has wasted no time getting on with his life, joining the mass exodus to idyllic European shores.

The Melbourne socialite, jailed for three months in WA after breaching border rules to watch his beloved Demons win the grand final last year, has been holidaying in style across hotspots Capri, Positano, Mykonos and St Tropez.

The Morris Jones bar owner has been documenting his travels with friends and at one point was dining at the same restaurant as Jennifer Lopez in Capri.

He raised some eyebrows during the week after making light of his arrest with a tongue-in-cheek video of him being handcuffed at an upmarket St Tropez venue.

He captioned the video “Not again!!!” as a man dressed in a police uniform applied the cuffs and even a pretend pistol to his head. Laughing through the mock scenario, Burbank was less affected by this brush with the “law”.

In April he held a Gatsby-themed 50th birthday celebration at his Toorak home — a long way from Perth’s Hakea maximum security prison.

Burbank’s cell buddy, Mark Babbage, was also in attendance.

He has owned his mistakes and taken accountability, proving there is life after national headlines and a harrowing jail stint.
