What Andrew Thorburn saga? Former Dons boss Xavier Campbell was busy living his best Bali life sinking Bintangs and boating with the lads.

As the scandal involving his replacement became a national debate, the plight of the Bombers was clearly the furthest thing on the mind of former chief executive Xavier Campbell.
The tanned and relaxed Campbell was enjoying life on a boat in Bali with a few mates, including Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin, as Essendon imploded following the appointment of new chief executive Andrew Thorburn.
During a family holiday to Indonesia, Campbell took time out to catch up with Goodwin, who worked as an assistant coach at Essendon during Campbell’s eight-year reign as CEO.
Campbell was also credited with supporting Goodwin when the Melbourne coach’s marriage broke down, but moving right along.
Bali-based Essendon premiership player Ricky Olarenshaw was hosting the catch-up where the Heinekens and Bintangs were flowing freely at the bare-chested photo shoot.
Olarenshaw is a king in Bali among visiting AFL players.
Remember THAT Jordan De Goey trip? Olarenshaw was looking after him, well, right up until the Collingwood star had enough of the R’n’R and went out on a nightclub bender resulting in THAT video.
Again, moving right along, Olarenshaw posted a pic of his crew to the ‘Gram declaring the catch-up was a “90s ManPower strippers reunion.”
The well-liked Campbell left the Bombers at the end of the season following the sacking of coach Ben Rutten and a falling out with new president David Barham.
