ED Sheeran very nearly joined the missing schoolgirls when he wandered off at Hanging Rock.
The UK troubadour, who kicks off his sold-out Australian tour next month, was staying at music mogul Michael Gudinski’s Mt Macedon home for a gig at the rock to promote his latest album.

Gudinski and Sheeran and a few others went for a walk up to the Rock, just like the four schoolgirls in Joan Lindsay’s novel Picnic At Hanging Rock.
“I lost Ed at the rock,” Gudinski told Page 13 at the launch of the Foxtel miniseries on Valentine’s Day, 98 years after the girls’ spooky disappearance.
“We got separated on the way down. I’m not kidding. The wife was panicking. We were all yelling out for him. Ally-ooh, ally-ooh.”
