We have the memory of an old elephant when it comes to stories of the rich and famous.
Which is why it was niggling at us when we read about Friday’s sentencing of Tony Wittmann.
He’s the ex-Army Reservist who tortured a young animal shelter worker while wearing combat gear and brandishing an imitation rifle.
Bailey Scarlett told a County Court judge this week her life had been “irrevocably changed” from a terrifying ambush at the Lost Dogs Home last year as Wittman stormed in to “save” his missing cat.
Turns out Scarlett was also a victim in 2015 when the then 18-year-old model revealed her drink was spiked at a party by pop singer Justin Bieber when he was visiting Melbourne.
Scarlett said she had a “really scary feeling” at Ginger Recording Studios, where she met Bieber, who had enlisted a bevy of “hot” models to be with him (pre-Hailey days).
She later collapsed outside the studio and was attended by paramedics who she said told her she had been “drugged” before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital.
Scarlett said the worst thing was when Bieber appeared outside the bathroom she had been put in and claimed she had never been given drugs and had caught “Bieber Fever”.
