Soccer WAG turned artist Melissa La Bozzetta’s paintings, abstracts and sculptures have featured at Paris’s famed Louvre museum and at galleries across New York and Rome.
But it’s in her Melbourne hometown, where she has created her eponymous gallery in Prahran, which has the longest waitlist for nudes.
Yes it seems we Melburnians are not just arty, we also like to get our kit off.
The in-demand artist has a log book as long as your naked arm, of eagerly awaiting clients wanting La Bozzetta to paint them.
After meeting her husband, ex premier league footballer, Steve Mautone, in a Melbourne cafe the two left for overseas where he played for West Ham and Reading and started a family.
It was only returning to Melbourne that the waitlist for her nude portraits started getting out of control.
“Half of my artwork sold are nudes and half are abstract pieces,” La Bozzetta said.
“My abstract pieces help me to reconnect to my Italian Heritage. Interwoven with my life and home in Australia.”
