The Aussie actor is proving to be the ultimate girl’s girl after revealing she called best friend Naomi Watts before accepting a role that involved a sex scene with the star’s ex.

Nicole Kidman has revealed that she checked in with fellow Aussie film star Naomi Watts before accepting her latest role in which she filmed a sex scene with her best friend’s ex.
Currently on the promotional trail for miniseries ‘The Perfect Couple’, Kidman confirmed that she phoned her best friend of more than 30 years to get the thumbs up ahead of signing on to play Liev Schreiber’s onscreen wife.
Schreiber, who shares two children with Watts from their 11-year romance, pressed his co-star and longtime friend on the rumour during a lighthearted chat with Entertainment Tonight.
“I heard a story that you asked Naomi first if it was okay,” The Ray Donovan star, 56, asked in response to Kidman’s joke that she begged him to play her husband in the show.
“Of course!” Kidman replied.
“Isn’t that amazing? That’s how close they are,” Schreiber, since dubbed a ‘DILF’ by millions of viewers across the globe since the show’s release at the weekend, said.
“We’ve known each other for years, and I’ve wanted to (work with her) so the minute she called and said ‘Do you wanna do this?’, I was like, ‘well yeah!”
While some might feel uneasy bout such unique work situations it appeared there has been nothing but mutual adoration from all parties involved.
Watts this week confirmed at the Toronto International Film Festival that Kidman, 57, had reached out about her potential role in the project.
“We always check in, we’re besties,” Watts, 55, said.
“That was very kind of her to do that.”
