With a patch of hair still missing after his recent cancer surgery and his devoted wife of more than 50 years by his side, Aussie music legend John Farnham, 75, looked sturdy on feet as he recovers from oral cancer.
The Farnham clan have triple the reason to celebrate between the singer’s successful 12 hour surgery and official “all clear” from cancer, his impending grandfatherhood and wife Jill’s 70th birthday.
“Happy birthday 70th to mum! Love u x,” son Rob posted alongside a new happy snap of the whole family.
As well as Rob, who recently celebrated a year of marriage with his wife Melissa, the photo also shows son James and his partner Tessa who is due with a baby boy soon.
James went on Sunrise last week to give fans an update on his dad’s health.
“He’s doing great, he’s doing really well, walking around, kicking goals … annoying mum,” James said.
And it seems the doting grandfather-to-be is already eagerly anticipating the new arrival.
“We’re all really excited, another little Farnham on the way,” James said, adding that the baby will call his famous grandfather “Pa”.
“I can’t wait to take him up to the farm and get dad to teach him everything he taught me.”
Since his diagnosis, the Farnhams have banded together to raise money and awareness for cancer charities.
They’ve been the faces of Daffodil Day and also helped spread the word about last month’s Cancer Research Giving Day.
