Neighbours star Bonnie Anderson has been the victim of a new year theft with crooks swiping her prized motorcycle from her home.

Anderson made an impassioned plea for the return of her Kawasaki 650 Ninja motorbike after it was stolen from her home around 11am on Saturday, January 2.

The property, in the Lilydale area, was broken into while Anderson was down the street doing some shopping. She was only out of the house for an hour and came home to find her home in disarray.

She discovered the distinctive metallic grey coloured motorcycle that she bought about two months ago gone along with a laptop, Xbox equipment and shoes, and various rooms tipped upside down.

Anderson confirmed she had reported the break-in and theft to police.

Anderson, 26, put a call for help in finding the bike out to her 106,000 Instagram followers.

“STOLEN!!! This morning my brand new Kawasaki 650 motorbike has been stolen from my home .. Lilydale area, approximately 11am. #plate 2M 6HV,” she posted.

Hours later, Anderson’s Kawasaki motorbike was found smashed and dumped on the roadside in the Lilydale area late Saturday.

The bike appeared to have been crashed and then discarded.

Anderson was alerted to the damaged motorbike’s location by a social media follower who recognised the zippy Kawasaki from the singer’s Instagram.

Those responsible for the theft and the break-in at her home are yet to be found.
