Virtual events are the new physical events for now. Here we round up the best things you can do from home

FRIDAY

PRINCE AND THE REVOLUTION

Where: Prince on You Tube

All weekend

Prince’s estate have uploaded an iconic live concert from March 1985 in New York. Prince was freshly in superstar mode after the success of Purple Rain, and the show ends with an incredible 18 minute version of the title track from his album and movie. There’s also a 10-minute take on Baby I’m a Star, and as well as a load of hits (1999, Let’s Go Crazy, When Doves Cry), fan faves The Body Electric, Purple House and International Lover.

Dapper duo Client Liaison are playing live from their lounge room on behalf of Reach Out tonight - dropping bangers while also shining a light on mental health resources.

This pub is offering the pub experience, but virtually. Talk to people, play trivia and watch live music which kicks off from 8.30pm. Tonight it’s two upcoming young talents, Benjamin Trillado and Kezra. Kezra has had streaming and radio success with her singles Better Place and Missing You.

KATE CEBERANO

Second last in Kate Ceberano’s weekly live stream with her mates - at her house and virtually. Tonight she’ll be joined by I’m Talking bandmate Zan, Tania Doko (Bachelor Girl), plus Ricki-Lee, Amy Lehpamer, Alinta Chidzey, Jess Fairlie and Er@ser for a girl’s night out.

ISOL-AID

It’s week nine of Isol-Aid and there’s some killer international guests including Jeff Tweedy, Joe Pug and Courtney Marie Andrews, as well as locals including Leah Flanagan and Nasty Mars. And this week on Saturday after 10pm there’s Isol-Late, a dance party with Allday, KLP, Dameeeela, the Huxleys and more.

Quarantina Arena has been doing twice-weekly interviews with guests (everyone from Jason Donovan to Olivia Newton-John so far) and on Saturday changes it up with a live listening party. She’ll be playing her classic 1994 album Don’t Ask (home to Chains, Sorrento Moon, Wasn’t It Good and Heaven Help My Heart) and sharing stories from the record as she listens along with fans.

Episode seven of this live variety show, which is professionally filmed and hosted by Henry Wagons. Entertainment this week comes from Alex Gow, who will showcase new project Perfect Moment as well as his work with Oh Mercy, plus Emma Donovan and The Putbacks and Benny Walker. Comedy via Sami Shah and Tom Ballard, while Myf Warhurst will join in a panel discussion.

FROM the Delivered Live team, this event offers music but also a chance to showcase produce in a virtual market where you can buy items and they will be delivered by crew who’ve lost work due to the live industry being put on hold. The German superstar who took over America’s Got Talent has decided to glam up isolation by launching his own Sunday night live show. It’s a half hour weekly show with his band The Ungrateful Bastards and the first guests are Joel Creasey and Dami Im to fill the Eurovision shaped hole in our lives. Fingers crossed for Queen’s I Want to Break Free played on an accordion, because that song wasn’t quite camp enough.
