Oasis are staging a shock reunion and will announce their grand comeback this week.
The Britpop icons have secretly agreed a deal to return for a series of UK concerts next British summer, The Sun reports.
It is expected to be the most in-demand tour in British concert history.
Warring brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher have been working towards a reconciliation and finally negotiated a deal to get the band back together.
A music insider said: “This is the reunion that no one thought would ever happen.
“Liam and Noel have been staunch enemies for well over a decade but they have secretly been back in touch.
“A deal was put on the table and they both said yes – much to the surprise of the people around them.
“There will be concerts in the UK next summer and both Noel and Liam are excited to get back out there together.”
They will officially announce the news in the coming days, with Wednesday marking 15 years since Noel dramatically quit the band.
Manchester’s Heaton Park and London’s Wembley Stadium have been touted as venues for the massive concerts.
Rumours of the historic reunion were published in today’s Sunday Times.
They claim a Glastonbury headline slot could be on the cards – 30 years after iconic album (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?
Liam helped drive speculation this morning when he tweeted: “I never did like that word FORMER.”
When one user on social media replied to an article about the rumoured location saying “Heaton Park [is] terrible for concert venues”, Liam replied: “See you down the front you big fanny.”
Noel raised eyebrows last week when he shared rare praise of Liam in a new interview ahead of the 30th anniversary of their album Definitely Maybe, taking place this Friday.
He said: “I can’t sing Slide Away and Cigarettes & Alcohol and Rock ‘N’ Roll Star and Columbia and all that.
“I mean, I can do it but it’s not the same. It’s the delivery or the tone of his voice and the attitude. I don’t have the same attitude as him.”
He added: “When I would sing a song it would sound good, when he would sing it, it would sound great.”
After forming in 1991, Oasis enjoyed a very successful career throughout the nineties with multi-platinum selling albums and sell out gigs and tours.
But Liam and Noel had a fractured relationship and their rows became legendary.
Then, in 2009, as they were about to headline the UK’s V Festival, they had a massive altercation backstage and Noel declared he was leaving.
He then went on to form High Flying Birds and Liam created his own band, Beady Eye.
Back in 2017 Liam hinted he had reconciled with his brother, bringing to an end a near-decade-long feud, and the possibility of a reunion.
He tweeted: “I wanna say Happy Xmas to team NG it’s been a great year thanks for everything looking forward to seeing you tomorrow AS YOU WERE LG x”
When fans became overexcited at the prospect of a Britpop reunion, Liam answered them.
To a fan who wrote: “Team who? You’re not going to have a meltdown on here come Christmas day are you Liam when NG doesn’t reach out to you?”
Liam replied: “He’s already reached out.”
However Noel previously said he would never reform after trolls attacked his family online.
Then in July 2018, Liam tweeted that he wanted an Oasis reunion, and begged Noel to get on board.
Then again in March 2020, Liam demanded an Oasis reunion with brother Noel to raise money for the NHS amid the coronavirus crisis.
