Iva Davies has called The Killers’ take on Electric Blue his favourite Icehouse cover ever.
The Killers included Icehouse’s 1987 hit in a livestream for Triple M in August.
“I’d love to meet Brandon Flowers and shake his hand,” Icehouse frontman Davies said.
“That’s the most impressive cover I’ve ever seen. It’s fantastic and I got to floor my son Evan. He mentioned The Killers to me over 10 years ago, so I played their cover of Electric Blue to him and his eyes nearly fell out of his head.”

Icehouse’s debut album Flowers turns 40 tomorrow; the band will mark the anniversary with a live album out on October 30, with a double clear vinyl version following in November.
As well as most of the songs from their classic debut, the live set – recorded at the St Kilda Festival in February – features covers by T-Rex and the Sex Pistols.
