Dave Grohl reveals he fathered a secret child

New details are emerging after Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl revealed he fathered a child with another woman.

Dave Grohl’s wife was seen without her wedding ring weeks before the rocker dropped the bombshell news he had fathered a child outside of marriage.
It has also been claimed Grohl, 55, hired a divorce lawyer before confessing to infidelity.

Grohl, dubbed the ‘nicest guy in rock’, revealed he fathered a child “outside of his marriage” in a statement on Instagram on Wednesday.

However his wife of more than two decades, Jordyn Blum, 48, was photographed without her wedding band in LA on August 1 in a sign that Grohl may have already told her about his cheating.

Meanwhile People, citing an unnamed source, reported Grohl retained a divorce lawyer before his social media announcement.

In his revealing statement on Instagram, Grohl said he was fighting for his marriage.

“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” the Foo Fighters frontman wrote.

“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” he continued.

“We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”

Grohl and Blum share three daughters: Violet Maye, Harper Willow and Ophelia Saint.

He did not reveal who the mother of the newborn girl is, nor has his wife made a statement.

Grohl also turned comments off on the post.

Grohl and Blum met a bar in 2001, according to the star, before marrying in 2003.

“When I first met my wife, we went out on a few dates and I decided that I wasn’t ready for a serious relationship, so I just stopped calling,” he told Elle.

“After three months, I had a revelation and called her back. She picked up the phone and said, ‘Oh, I never thought I’d hear from you again,’” he recalled.

Grohl was previously married to Jennifer Leigh Youngblood from 1994 to 1997. But the pair did not have children.
