Christina Aguilera was not going to let a foot injury stop her from celebrating her daughter’s 9th birthday in Disneyland.
Instead of sitting out the festivities, the pop star hopped on a mobility scooter to help her get around the famed theme park in Anaheim, California.
The 42-year-old was seen zipping around the wonderland with her daughter Summer and her longtime partner, Matthew Rutler – Summer’s dad. Aguilera also has a 15-year-old son, Max, who she shares with her ex-husband, Jordan Bratman.
The family was accompanied by other family members and friends, who all wore pink tie-dye T-shirts with the words “We heart Summer” written across the chest.
According to TMZ, Aguilera’s group was escorted by a private tour guide, who allowed them front-of-the-line access to rides.
The outlet reports that Aguilera required the electric wheelchair as a pre-caution because of a minor knee injury, but that didn’t stop her from going on The Matterhorn bobsleigh roller coaster with her family and friends.
The singer kicked off Summer’s birthday fun by inviting her onstage in front of thousands of fans during a performance in Israel days ago.
As the mum-of-two belted out her hits, little Summer stayed close to her famous mum as they shared a moment that will last a lifetime.
“Today I find myself reflecting on how fast time has gone by,” Aguilera also wrote in a sweet Instagram in tribute to her mini-me.
“These 9 years have been filled with boundless love, heartwarming hugs, staying up too late, Disney adventures, and most recently, the joy of gracing the stage alongside you.”
The proud mum said she was so grateful for the gift of motherhood as it is her most favourite role yet.
“Every day, I thank the universe for gifting me the privilege of being your momma, a role that stands as my ultimate accomplishment,” she continued. “Witnessing the remarkable young woman you are evolving into fills me with immense pride. Mommy loves you so much!”
