AN INTERVIEWER thought he was pranking Jennifer Lawrence, but in actual fact he was the butt of the joke.
YouTube comedy star Ian Andrew Hecox sat down with the Oscar winner to discuss her latest film, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2.
Hecox was being fed lines to say by his Smosh comedy partner, Anthony Padilla, who was hiding in a nearby room.
But the duo had no idea that Jennifer Lawrence was not only aware of the prank they were attempting, but was pulling the exact same prank on them.
The actress was being given directions through an earpiece by her co-stars, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, and a young man called Dylan Miceli-Nelson who is battling Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
The interview starts out awkwardly, with Lawrence refusing to acknowledge the interviewer’s bad jokes.
Things get even worse when Hecox takes his shoes off during the chat so that he can relax.
Eventually Lawrence pulls the pin on the cringe-worthy chat, saying, “I just feel like this is a waste of everybody’s time ... I feel like you’re not really a professional”, before storming off the set.
All three Hunger Games stars then enter the room to reveal to the pranksters that they’ve been pranked.
The hilarious video is part of an online series called Prank It FWD which raises awareness funds for DoSomething.org
