Chris Hemsworth has a fan for the “rest of his life” in co-star Halle Berry, who revealed his incredible gesture for her while shooting their upcoming movie.
The Australian actor, 41, and Oscar-winner Berry, 58, appeared at CinemaCon in Las Vegas as part of Amazon MGM Studios’ presentation to promote their new film Crime 101.
Speaking to E! News on the red carpet, the A-list pair discussed their admiration for one another when the Catwoman actress opened up about a cryptic moment on-set in which Hemsworth “stood up for me.”
“[He’s] a stand-up guy,” Berry said.
“I won’t go into it now, but he stood up for me in a moment in our movie, and instantly I knew right then I’m gonna follow this guy, be a fan of this guy for the rest of his life because he stood up for a woman.
“He didn’t have to do it and he did it.”

Hemsworth was also full of praise for Berry, confessing he was “very intimidated” to work with her despite being no stranger to sharing the screen with a slew of industry icons, including Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman.
“I’ve admired Halle’s work for many, many years. I was obviously very intimidated to sit opposite her within a scene and try and, you know, not just be in awe of what she was doing,” Hemsworth said.
“Certain people just bring out not just the best in you, but also sort of a comfort level where it feels like it’s a place to explore and it’s a place to examine different ideas and try different things. And that was the experience [with Berry]. I loved every second of it.”
MORE: Real reason Hemsworths moved to Byron
In Crime 101, which is billed as a thriller, Hemsworth pivots from his usual hero roles as master jewel thief Davis.
Berry portrays an insurance broker who becomes embroiled in his multimillion-dollar heist.
It features an all-star cast, including Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan and Monica Barbaro.
Hemsworth almost missed out on the opportunity to star in the film, an adaptation of a Don Winslow novella, with Pedro Pascal dropping out early on due to scheduling conflicts.
The father-of-three jetted over to Vegas for the event just days after he was filmed speaking to police in his hometown of Byron Bay late last month.
Footage which emerged on TikTok showed Hemsworth surrounded by five police officers and two police cars amid the search for missing police officer Jay Notaro.
It’s understood Notaro was one of Hemsworth’s surfing mates.
The Courier Mail reported Notaro, who lives on the Gold Coast, would travel down from his home on the Gold Coast to surf alongside the likes of Hemsworth and pro surfer Luke Munro.
Notaro had reportedly been staying in the area in the lead-up to his 45th birthday.
