More than a million angry fans have signed a petition urging Hollywood honchos to boot Amber Heard off the movie Aquaman 2 — saying she “ruined” ex-husband Johnny Depp’s career.
The petition against the 34-year-old actress, who was locked in a messy libel case that Depp ultimately lost earlier this month, had garnered 1.5 million signatures as of Friday.

“(Heard) has systematically crusaded to ruin Depp in Hollywood,” the Change.org petition rages.
“He will bear the scar from that for the rest of his life.”
Depp was asked to resign from JK Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts franchise after a British judge found allegations that he’s a wife-beater to be “substantially true” — prompting fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean star to circulate the petition, which aims to get 3 million signatures.
The petition also accuses the actress of lying and “creating false accounts of (Depp) being the abuser.”
Last week, the actress spoke out about those calling for her firing — saying she intends to work on the movie anyway.
“Paid rumours and paid campaigns on social media don’t dictate (casting decisions) because they have no basis in reality,” she told Entertainment Weekly.
“Only the fans actually made Aquaman and Aquaman 2 happen. I’m excited to get started next year.”

It comes after Depp was refused permission to appeal the ruling of his High Court libel suit this week.
The judge who dismissed Mr Depp’s claim this month said an appeal did not have a “reasonable prospect of success”, after a ruling that what was written in the article was “substantially true”.
In his main judgment published earlier this month, Mr Justice Nicol concluded that 12 of the 14 alleged incidents of domestic violence referred to in the “wife beater” article did occur.
Mr Justice Nicol’s ruling on the application was made public on Wednesday. He also ordered the actor to make an initial payment to NGN of almost £630,000 ($A1.14 million) for its legal fees.
Heard was The Sun’s star witness in the trial, which lay bare extraordinary revelations about the marriage of Depp and Heard, 34.
They included an instance of faeces in a hotel bed – supposedly Heard’s, but the judge ruled it was canine – and Depp smearing “I love you” on a mirror in blood.
In court, Depp accused Heard of making up her allegations, while acknowledging wide-ranging drug problems.
Depp has until December 7 to apply directly to the Court of Appeal.
