Margot Robbie reveals shock plans to ‘disappear’
The Hollywood actress has shared her concerns that the public may be growing bored of her.

Margot Robbie has shocked fans by revealing that she intends to “disappear” from the big screen for a while.
It’s been a huge few months for Robbie, who produced and starred in box office smash Barbie last summer.
However, instead of revelling in her successes, the beloved Aussie star has shared her fears that have come with experiencing such a blockbuster year.
Robbie has no doubt been inundated with more movie offers now she’s become one of the most bankable stars on the planet, but she’s confessed that she doesn’t intend to return to screens for quite some time.
“Everyone’s like, ‘Are you having a break?’ And I’m like, ‘You do know I’m a producer, right? We don’t get a break,’” she told Deadline.
“I also think everyone’s probably sick of the sight of me for now. I should probably disappear from screens for a while.” Robbie continued: “Honestly, if I did another movie too soon, people would say, ‘Her again? We just did a whole summer with her. We’re over it.’ I don’t know what I’ll do next, but I hope it’s a little while away.”
Robbie wouldn’t be the first big-name star to take a break at the height of their career. After her Oscar success with Silver Linings Playbook, Jennifer Lawrence decided to step back from screens and didn’t sign onto another project for over a year.
At the time, she said: “I just think everybody had gotten sick of me. I’d gotten sick of me. It had just gotten to a point where I couldn’t do anything right.”
Following Robbie’s remarks, fans rushed to social media to share their surprise at her decision.
“Imagine being sick of seeing a beautiful, talented and intelligent actress like Margot on a huge screen,” wrote one fan.
A second tweeted: “I want MORE movies from her, she’s incredibly talented. But if you think her observations about celebrity fatigue are baseless, you weren’t on Tumblr when everyone turned on Jennifer Lawrence. It’s a weird phenomenon that I’ve seen happen over and over with internet darlings.”
However, others shared their support for her decision, with some suggesting to was a “good idea”.
One fan tweeted, saying: “I was thinking this. She is becoming a little over saturated and should take a little break so audiences don’t get bored of her! If you keep making movies back to back, the quality goes down that’s why. She is an amazing actress and picks her role after thought, so it’s wise to take breaks between projects.”
