CHARLIZE Theron returns to cinemas this week with one of her best efforts to date in the black comedy (with a twist) Tully. Here are five more ways to stream the Oscar-winner in your own time.
Netflix
Five stars
This action masterpiece tracks an exciting new tangent of the Mad Max myth. The infamously nomadic Max (Thomas Hardy, ably replacing Mel Gibson) joins forces with female freedom fighter Furiosa (a stunning Theron) on a devastating journey across the baddest badlands imaginable. Once everything begins barrelling forward at ever-increasing speed, there can be no turning back.

THE ITALIAN JOB (2003)
Foxtel Now
Three-and-a-half stars
A highly enjoyable remake of the 1969 Michael Caine heist flick, with Theron and Mark Wahlberg among a team of crooks out to retrieve some stolen bounty from former associate Edward Norton. A well-filmed pulp actioner with thrills, spills and kills in all the right places, despite the heavy product placement for hotted-up Minis in the plentiful chase scenes. Co-stars Seth Green.

Acclaimed writer-director Paul Haggis followed up his Oscar-winning drama Crash with a haunting picture about the worst war can do to a man and the worst a man will do at war. Tommy Lee Jones plays a retired military policeman investigating the mysterious death of his soldier son shortly after returning from Iraq. The movie comes alive when Theron joins the fray as a sympathetic detective.

Three-and-a-half stars
Throughout this style-conscious, substance-free action pic, Theron blurs the line separating alluring from alarming. It is 1989, and with the Berlin Wall about to crumble, British super-spy Lorraine Broughton (Theron) must retrieve a list that will save the lives of many double agents. Theron deploys a cool combo of bewitching beauty, bone-breaking brawn and belittling eye contact that is impossible to resist.
THE LEGEND OF BAGGER VANCE (2000)
Netflix
Three stars
A quality early work from Theron in a key supporting role. Wielding his director’s clubs, Robert Redford takes a swing at explaining golf fans obsession with the sport. And it’s a true story, too. Matt Damon stars as a Depression-era champ whose game is falling to bits until he comes under the steadying influence of a mystical caddie (Will Smith).
