Kylie Minogue has revealed late boyfriend Michael Hutchence cried when he dumped her after their “doomed” romance.
The pop starlet dated the tragic rocker, who took his own life in Sydney in 1997, between 1989 and 1991 and stayed friends with him up until his death, reports The Sun.
Kylie, now aged 50, speaks in a new film titled Mystify: Michael Hutchence made by his friend Richard Lowenstein, who found footage of the couple in his attic from over 30 years ago.

In an interview after his death, Kylie recalled Michael was a “broken man” and that he told her he wanted to break up with her, before collapsing to the floor.
She says he took his decision hard and mused: “Was it work, was it the drugs? I don’t know. He was like a broken man.”
The documentary also explores the source of Hutchence’s depression and features his other girlfriend after Kylie, Danish model Helena Christensen.
Helena was the INXS frontman’s girlfriend from 1991 to 1995 and she recalls the aftermath of the singer being attacked by a taxidriver in Copenhagen.
He was assaulted while the couple were cycling and remembers blood pouring from his ears, but says he left hospital after refusing proper treatment.
She thinks it sparked his downward spiral and recounts Hutchence spending a month lying in the dark in her apartment, “throwing up blood and pushing away all food,” The Sydney Morning Herald reports.
Michael finally sought medical attention and was told he’d suffered brain damage that caused him to lose his senses of smell and taste.
Speaking at a screening of the documentary, Lowenstein says he was never the same again.
He revealed: “Helena had never spoken about that accident. It’s never been really looked at in how profound that was in changing Michael’s life and what happened at the end.
“She kept quiet for very personal reasons … It was kind of amazing to get that first-hand account of it.”
Hutchence went on to date Paula Yates and they had a daughter, Tiger Lily, together.

He died after their split and an official coroner’s report ruled the cause of death as a suicide while depressed and under the influence of drugs.
At the time, he was said to be distressed at not being able to see his baby daughter.
Yates died from an accidental heroin overdose in 2000 and her husband Bob Geldoff was awarded custody of the child.
Tiger Lily is now a 22-year-old model.
