Proud mum Jordan Ablett has shared a heartwarming update in son Levi’s health battle, with the youngster now standing with the help of dad Gary.

Jordan Ablett has shared a heartwarming video of son Levi standing with the help of footy superstar dad Gary.

Levi, who suffers from a rare degenerative illness, continues to show signs of improvement.

Jordan and others are heard cheering as the happy and smiling two year-old completes each movement to get to his feet.

“As you can see, we celebrate the little things pretty hard in this family!” Jordan captioned the video on Instagram.

Last month Gary opened up about the health condition of Levi and said he was a constant blessing to him and Jordan.

Speaking to host Eddie McGuire as a guest on Who Wants to Be A Millionaire, Ablett said:

“He’s a beautiful boy, Ed, he really is. He’s been a real blessing to both Jordan and I.

“He’s going OK, he’s got a pretty serious condition but we are seeing some improvement. The great thing about Levi is he’s a very determined boy, he’s always happy, he gets physio every day and … he brings so much joy to our lives.”

The Cats superstar retired after the AFL grand final last year and has been focusing on spending to time with family.

Last month Gary opened up about Levi’s health condition and said he was a constant blessing to him and Jordan.

In March Jordan spoke of Levi’s condition, revealing in an emotional interview with The Significant Others podcast that the illness comes with a short life expectancy.

“I just remember sitting with Gaz in that meeting and when they said it I just remember absolutely breaking down,’’ Jordan said.

“There is a very short life expectancy, which is why I constantly say to people … we are literally just taking it day by day because we have no idea what the future holds.”
