London life was glamorous for AFL Brownlow Medallist Jimmy Bartel’s new girlfriend, Lauren Mand. But since her return to Melbourne, things have taken a mundane turn.

Lauren Mand’s London lifestyle was parties, pancakes and trips to the hairdressers.
The new partner of AFL Brownlow Medallist Jimmy Bartel, 35, spent time touring around the UK capital with friends before she returned to Australia to be with him.
Like many Australians moving to London, there were visits to Buckingham Palace, the Natural History Museum in South Kensington and the British Museum.
“Obsessed with a history museum,” she wrote on Instagram.
Ms Mand, who lived in an up and coming area of East London, spent a lot of time on the other side of town.
She said her “favourite little place” was the Kensington Creperie, in South Kensington.
There were also parties during her time in London, with a post of a darkly-lit bar with three other young women captioned: “Worth the sore head today.”
Her Instagram was filled with posts of friend Koa Whelan.
The pair were pictured touring around Trafalgar Square together and also regularly catching up for coffees.
However, there were tough times, with Ms Mand revealing she had been hospitalised for a mystery illness.
“First day out of bed after a week in and out of hospital. Being sick in another country alone is tough,” she wrote.
She also put a picture of herself getting her hair done with the caption “my happy place”.
The free and easy existence was in contrast to recent photographs of her in Melbourne with Bartel who was carrying a pack of Huggies boys nappies.
However she had posted on Instagram since her return that she was “content and couldn’t be happier”.
News of Ms Mand’s relationship with Bartel rocked the AFL, when it was revealed in August.
She moved back to Australia, posting an ad for her flat on the Aussies in London Facebook page seeking someone to take over her lease in September.
Nadia Bartel, 34, Jimmy’s estranged wife, was at the Melbourne Cup races in the Bumble marquee in the Birdcage this week, wearing a bright yellow outfit with flared pants and a large matching yellow hat.
She was pictured in a tense discussion with Channel Nine’s Lauren Phillips.
Bartel married the Geelong footballer, who played in three premierships during his 305 game career, in 2014.
The couple were a fixture on Melbourne’s social scene, with Nadia’s among one of the games most high profile WAGs.
She has 619,000 followers on Instagram where she also posted leaving the races in a helicopter paid for by Uber this week.
Nadia, mother of Bartel’s two children, Aston, 3, and Henley, 1, has said that she was “heartbroken” at the breakdown of her marriage.
“It’s been a very difficult month for me and the boys,” she told the Herald Sun in August.
“Although I’m heartbroken, I don’t want to comment specifically on what’s been reported about Jim’s trip to the UK as I don’t think that is in anyone’s interests.”
