Two iconic American stars have been spotted together in Australia decades after they starred alongside each other in a beloved TV classic.

Director and film producer Ron Howard, 69, and actor and comedian Henry Winkler, 78, shared a heartwarming photo to social media after they caught up at Sydney’s Town Hall on February 6.

The reunion comes almost five decades after both men shot to fame on the American television sitcom ‘Happy Days’ as best friends Richard ‘Richie’ Cunningham and Arthur ‘Fonzie’ Fonzarelli.

“LIFE! As the WORLD turns @RealRonHoward came to my book event in Sydney Australia. SO exciting for everyone !!!!,” Winkler posted to X (formerly known as Twitter) after the event followed by a retweet from Howard.

The stars are currently visiting Australia to promote their respective projects, with Winkler in the midst of a sellout season celebrating his memoir “The Fonz and Beyond” across shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra and Melbourne.

Meanwhile, Howard has been directing his new movie ‘Eden’ in Queensland with a star-studded cast of actors including Jude Law, Ana de Armas, and Richard Roxburgh.

The survival thriller film is due for release in 2024 after filming began in November 2023 on the Gold Coast to highly-anticipated fanfare.

Although the Academy Award-winning Hollywood director and multiple Emmy winner have come a long way from the start of their careers on Happy Days, it appears both men have remained good friends over the years.

Howard was only 19 years old when Happy Days began production in 1974 while Winkler, who still goes by his character’s moniker “The Fonz,” was 27 years old.

The show lasted for 11 seasons and followed the story of the Cunningham family from Milwaukee, set during the 1950s and 1960s.

“It warms my heart to know that you two are still friends,” one fan commented underneath the photo.

“Indeed. They were a great part of my childhood,” another fan replied.

“How many hours did I spent watching Happy Days??? You guys basically raised me,” a third person commented.
